Becoming an Anime Club Member

How to Sign Up

After you've been attending anime club meetings for three consecutive weeks, talk to our Club President about becoming a member! Once you've filled out a New Member form, the President will assist you in signing up here on our website, and you'll receive an Official Membership Card within two weeks.

The Benefits

When new members are approved, they are given a username and password to log into their personal account on the website, which gives them access to the exclusive Members' Room, where they can see club news/updates, and find out about new manga coming to the library before the public.

Members can also:

• Order special, limited ramen flavors

• Borrow items from our Comfort Box during every meeting

• Attend field trips

• Enter our monthly raffle and win unique anime merch

• Become Club Staff Members who have important duties in the club

The Rules

Our members not only have to follow our general rules, but also a few others that are required to keep a membership.

• Members cannot be absent for club meetings for over three consecutive weeks or their membership will be retired. (If a member expects to be unable to attend for three weeks or more, they should notify the President, who can pause their membership until they are able to return.)

• Members cannot access benefits if they are not wearing their membership ID. If their ID is lost, their membership will be temporarily restricted, and the ID will not be replaced until the next club season.

• Members MUST return items to the Comfort Box before the meeting ends; a lost item will result in a warning, and a second lost item will result in their membership being temporarily restricted.

• Abusing the benefits of their membership and purposely shunning/excluding/mistreating non-members will always result in a temporary membership ban, no exceptions. No one is better than anyone else in the club room.

• Violent, aggressive, and/or cruel behavior is unacceptable, and will not only result in a permanent loss of membership, but could also get the member banned from attending anime club entirely, depending on the severity of the offense. 

Guest Passes

Another benefit active members receive is the ability to request Guest Passes for friends and family members! Guest Passes allow anyone attending the club with an Official Member to try out specific membership benefits: they can order a limited ramen flavor, borrow from the Comfort Box (the member who brought them will be held responsible for lost items), and attend field trips alongside the Official Member. The Guest Pass is valid for one meeting (or field trip), and members may only use two passes at a time, and can request four passes per club season.
